A world of feathers, sequins... And a healthy dose of savoir-faire. The Moulin Rouge invites you to visit its workshops on the occasion of the Journées européennes des Métiers d'Art, April 5 and 6, 2025.

Heritage gardener, carpenter, master glassmaker, sculptor and stonecutter, mosaic artist, decorative painter, jeweller, model maker... More than 280 professions are included in the official list of"métiers d'art": important and respectable occupations requiring exceptional skills.

These artisans contribute to French culture through their creations and their work. Now that's something to dream about! And what if you could meet these very special people? That's the idea behind the Journées européennes des Métiers d'art ( JEMA), which celebrates its 19th edition from March 31 to April 6, 2025.

This annual event gives us the opportunity to visit different workshops, cultural and heritage sites, and to talk to the craftspeople who work there.

In Paris and the Ile-de-France region, hundreds of sites open their doors to us. Among them, a place that shines with a thousand lights, a place that makes tourists and Parisians alike dream: the Moulin Rouge! The famous cabaret takes us into its creative workshops, to discover those who help bring the magic of the show to life.

Stage costumes, featherwork, bootmaking, embroidery: the Moulin Rouge's artisans are hard at work to bring us exceptional shows. They'll be revealing their secrets and their workspaces in free tours organized on April 5 and 6, 2025, accessible by registration only.

On the program for the Journées européennes des Métiers d'Art at the Moulin Rouge:

  • Maisons d'Art du Moulin Rouge
    Paris, 18th arrondissement
With the aim of preserving the French arts and crafts that are essential to the creation and on-stage maintenance of a top-quality revue, the Moulin Rouge has acquired prestigious workshops that are the guarantors of exceptional French know-how: the Atelier de Création de Costumes de Mine Verges, Maison Février (featherwork), Maison Clairvoy (bootmaking) and Atelier Valentin (embroidery).
The Moulin Rouge, a link between arts and entertainment, will open its doors during the JEMAs for an exceptional Rendezvous. The public will discover these workshops during four visits built around the excellence of the crafts that bring the Moulin Rouge's enchantment to life.
    Saturday April 5 and Sunday April 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration required.

An exceptional visit not to be missed!
