Throughout Paris and the Île-de-France region, almost 500 free events await the curious, young and old alike. Each area is showcased through a series of historic and creative addresses that continue to shape the history of France. From the most grandiose venues to the most confidential stalls in the capital, the Journées Européennes des Métiers d'Art raises the curtain on French craftsmanship with the intention of inspiring new vocations to perpetuate this boundless cultural wealth. In 2025, a multitude of fashion, jewelry and accessory spots join this unmissable annual event, to delight couture enthusiasts drawn by the beauty of fabrics and the creativity of materials.

Atelier des Tissages

For JEMA 2025, the Atelier des Tissages is offering families free introductory weaving sessions (booking required) on various looms. These will enable you to learn the textile vocabulary specific to weaving, familiarize yourself with the loom and its tools, and get to know the different textile fibers. At the end of the chosen session, each participant leaves with his or her own textile creation.

Atelier de Costumière Historique Renaissance et ses Fraises - L'Univers d'Isabelle

For the Journées des Métiers d'Art 2025, take a leap back in time at the Atelier de confection de l'Univers d'Isabelle. Here, you'll discover all the industrial machinery (flat stitchers, overlockers, bourdonneuse, buttonholes and blindstitch), materials and decorations needed to make historic outfits.
After a brief introduction to medieval and renaissance costume, and the history of French costume, admire the skills involved in creating historic burrs. For younger visitors, the workshop features a chronology of men's and women's costumes.

The Fil'bellule workshop opens its doors to the public, curious to discover the different facets of leatherwork. Myriam will be delighted to welcome you and present her creations in vegetable-tanned leather, entirely handmade (cutting, dyeing and sewing), personalized with motifs sculpted on the leather using the repoussage technique. For the occasion, the craftswoman will be offering demonstrations of leather sculpting and saddle-stitch sewing throughout the weekend.

Suzanne Gil's Atelier de maroquinerie is also looking forward to a creative weekend. As well as unveiling her entirely handmade collections, inspired by pop culture and Japanese craftsmanship, the leatherworker is offering visitors aged 6 and over the chance to make their own personalized key ring. Choice of leathers, shapes, machine tests... this free workshop is aimed at children, their parents and anyone else interested in learning about leatherworking.

Would you like to go behind the scenes of jewelry-making? Head to the Siana Swieca Bijoux workshop to discover unique, hand-crafted collections and pieces in solid recycled silver. Inspired by nature, each model plays with textures, fashioned from plant or flower imprints.
