Ever heard ofLes Bombasphères? An artistic collective initiated by street artist demoisellemm, it currently brings together 80 women artists from the urban art world. On a regular basis, this artistic group of mutual aid and sharing organizes events in the street or at universities, via associations and companies. The aim? Launch a new dynamic to give women artists greater visibility in the French urban art scene.
Since November 2024, the wall at N°86 rue de la Mare, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, has become the very first showcase for the Les Bombasphères collective. While Kaldea will be the next artist to take over the wall, three others have already created works there: msbeja_art with adey.wca, and Delphine Delas. Every two months, this wall - now dedicated to Bombasphères - welcomes a new artist from the collective to create an original work, alone or in collaboration.
And Les Bombasphères has no intention of stopping there. To mark Women's Rights Day, the collective has been invited by Joko, President and curator of Spot 13, to create live works on several walls of this key Paris street art venue.
In concrete terms, 15 artists from the collective will be taking over 15 walls of Spot 13 to create a series of murals before the eyes of onlookers and curious onlookers. This live painting jam, celebrating women's freedom, is not to be missed on Saturday March 8 and Sunday March 9, 2025, from 11am to 7pm.
Spot 13 is a well-known venue for street artists and urban art enthusiasts. Nestled in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, Spot 13 is a privately-owned open-air gallery run by the 13th arrondissement town council and Semapa. Since its launch, Spot 13 has welcomed a host of French and international artists, including Anna Conda, Elgee, Andrew Wallas, Ensemble réel, Djalouz and Raf Urban, and more recently lucie.flety and Wɨra Tini.
On March 8 and 9, Spot 13's Joko invites Les Bombasphères to take over 15 of its walls. This artistic event, which is sure to delight many urban art lovers, was initiated and organized by artists LuCce LuCce, M.I.U, MS Béja and demoisellemm, whose work includes the street art event held in January 2022 at 104, in a former hotel on Avenue d'Italie.
