Located in Lumigny, in the Seine-et-Marne département, Lumigny Safari Reserve is known for its two emblematic animal parks, Terre des Singes and Parc des Félins. While the former is home to primate species evolving in forests and natural environments the world over, the latter is entirely devoted to the many species of cats, tigers, lynxes, lions, leopards and other felines, now protected.
Recently renamed the Lumigny Safari Reserve, what was formerly the Lumigny Zoological Parks has been welcoming new residents since spring 2025. This time, you're in for a real (geographical) treat, as the residents come from the Far North, from the Arctic, and will evolve within the reserve in a space dedicated to them. Among them will be polar bears and arctic wolves, accustomed to living in particularly cold environments. This is a first for Île-de-France: polar bears have never before been kept in any of the region's zoological reserves.
All in all, this "Grand Nord" area adds a further three hectares to the reserve, allowing the animals to be housed in open spaces. Aerial walkways, a themed Nordic village, a children's play area and educational activities will also enable visitors to discover this new area.
The "Grand Nord" area is included in the Lumigny Safari Reserve entrance ticket. You'll find all the prices on the dedicated page.
