Louise, the very tasty ice cream store in the Jardin des Plantes!

Warning, gourmet alert! The Jardin des Plantes welcomes two new ice cream booths: Louise!

Here, artisanal ice creams are made the French way. Think with fresh milk from the Pyrenees and fruits from all over France. If you are a stickler for product traceability, you can go there with your eyes closed.

In terms of flavors, a lovely range thought up by Meilleur Ouvrier de France Philippe Urraca. All in all, no fewer than 15 flavors of ice creams: caramel and salt flower, Natelloso Chocolate-Hazelenut, Oreo, Pistachio, Vanilla-Pecan, Stracciatella, Prestige Praline, Candied Amarena Cherries, Rum-Raisins and even Banana Crumble Caramel.

As for us, we went for vanilla (discreet and delicate), Expresso coffee (as strong in the mouth as an expresso shot), Coconut milk (very fine, much more than a simple coconut ice cream) and Bulgare (with tasty raw milk).

In case you’re not drooling enough, know that Louise also offers 10 flavors of sorbets to cool off in the hot summer days: Senga strawberry, Squeezed Lemon, Raspberry, Cantaloupe, Vine Peach and Blackcurrant.

But the flavors such as Apricot (marvelously fruity), Passion (with seeds!) Mango (naturally sweetened and almost as fibrous as the original fruit) and Chocolate (very strong, ultra-chocolatey) definitely won our hearts.

Louise beautiful scoops are super hearty, to be enjoyed in a paper cup or in a surprising long and crispy cone. And the small bonus at Louise is that we can add tasty sides, gourmet toppings: homemade sauces (dark chocolate, salted caramel, red berries or whipped cream) and even caramelized almond, pistachio or granola sprinkles.

For gourmet foodies who would like to taste everything, known that Louise also has waffles, crepes and artisanal lemonade.

The perfect spot to stuff our faces all summer 2018 long, while walking in the shaded alleys of the Jardin des Plantes!
