There's nothing like a tasty cake for the best snack ever! Sweet or savoury, we're all crazy about these little treats that have marked our childhood. At Cakepart, a new Parisian coffee shop in the 11th arrondissement, creators Sarah Zerbib and Margaux Sodoyer have come up with recipes that combine authenticity, memories of the past and originality, thanks to innovative and sometimes offbeat tastes! Come on, let's try out this first concept dedicated entirely to cakes?

In a vintage, soft and pleasantly girly atmosphere, depending on the time of day, you can choose a slice (or several, for those with a sweet tooth!) of sweet or savoury cake, for between five and six euros. A price that may seem a little high, but the portion served is very generous and more than enough to fill the stomachs of even the most ambitious! On the spot or to take away, whole or by the slice, vegan or gluten-free, cake is available in every sauce on rue de Charonne, thanks to the 10 recipes devised by the designers and perfected by the pastry chefs.

We've only tested the sweet stuff, but there's no doubt that the savory cakes will satisfy your lunch-break cravings. Would you prefer butternut, Auvergne blue cheese and spring onions, or Banka trout and cabbage leaves? Don't hesitate to come back regularly, as the recipes change with the seasons, to respect nature, since production is 100% artisanal and homemade!

On the sweet side, we opted for the vegan cake with banana, walnuts, chocolate and peanut butter, which is as moist and comforting as you could wish for, reminding us of birthday snacks with friends! We absolutely had to try the "Medovik", a tiramisu-like cake of Russian origin, made with honey, cinnamon and other sweets, particularly gourmet. And let's not forget the very strong chocolate with hazelnuts, traditional but indisputable.

It's hard to choose between the mint-persimmon cake, the vanilla-white chocolate-pink cake or the hojicha made with Japanese green tea and red fruit jam. And of course, you can accompany it all with an orange juice squeezed before your very eyes, a smooth hot chocolate or a matcha latte, for a perfect afternoon snack!
