How does a travel back to the 19th century sound like? Good? Well, this is what Hotel Monte Cristo set in a small street in Paros 5th arrondissement offers. The idea is to provide guests the charm and the art codes of the 19th century combined of course with super modern comfort.
This return to the past works first of all thanks to Hotel Monte Cristo furniture. Indeed, over 200 period pieces have been bargain-hunted here and there to give the hotel an irresistible charm – stuffed animal trophies, cabinet of curiosities – and materials chosen are doing a lot: velvet, earthenware, wall hangings, and so on.
The rest of furniture are special creations, handmade for the hotel in India, in Italy and Portugal inviting guests to travel thanks to the different styles brilliantly mixed: French salons with purple colors, orientalism with colorful patterns or Chinese decors with lacquers.
In the 50 rooms of the Hotel Monte Cristo including 3 suites and 4 boudoir rooms, the charm keeps on working. We find in bathrooms precious materials such as earthenware and terrazzo as well as bargain-hunted mirrors.
Please note that all guests of the hotel have access to the 16-meter long swimming pool and a sauna nestled in the basement; as well as Paris first rum bar, the 1802 Monte Carlo that offers a list of the best rums, that have been given a vintage and infused rums.
A hotel the Comte de Monte Cristo would not have denied!
