Hyatt Paris Madeleine Café M launches its French breakfast

5-star hotel Hyatt Paris Madeleine has launched #LeFrenchBreakfast, an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet only based on French produces most of them coming from local artisans set less than 100 kilometers from the hotel.

The place aims at promoting French gastronomy to its international clientele and Parisians and most of all Parisian artisans, Ile-de-France inhabitants and tourists.
This approach to favor short-circuit for supplies is part of a qualitative and sustainable process.

Chef Simon Havage, running the hotel catering, goes even further by betting on the fight against food waste. To prevent from clients to take more food they can actually eat, he had the idea of reducing the size of the plates and the presentation dishes. Moreover, the quantity available goes down but is supplied more often, and since the plate is smaller, we put less food in.

• Clémentine Oliver for gluten-free pastries
• La Ferme d’Alexandre (Alexandre Pignol) for cheese

• Frédéric Lalos, Meilleur Ouvrier de France boulanger for bread and viennoiseries
• Les Fumaisons provinoises by Joëlle and Charlotte Sanchez for smoked fishes

Unlike what we can imagine, the breakfast price hasn’t increased, it even decreased. #LeFrenchBreakfast costs €30 while the hotel previous breakfast was charged €36 per guest.

On the menu of this French Breakfast, healthy produces (fruits, raw vegetables, muesli, cottage cheese…) for those paying close attention to what they eat as well as a whole bunch of other more delicious and fatter offerings (viennoiseries, charcuteries, cheeses…) for those who don’t care about their figure.

Displayed like an all-you-can-eat buffet, #LeFrenchBreakfast includes:

• Charcuterie including the famous Prince de Paris ham, the only ham made in Paris
