The Disney's Sequoia Lodge is undergoing a major renovation... To mark the resort’s anniversary, Disneyland Paris shared new details about the ongoing works at this iconic 1,010-room property, following the full revamps of the Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel in 2021 and the Disneyland Hotel in 2024. New details were unveiled in a press release published on April 12, 2026. What stands out specifically? Several points we break down.
But first, a quick context recap: Natacha Rafalski, the president of Disneyland Paris, revealed during a round-table on April 11, 2025, that the hotel inspired by the American national parks would undergo a gradual makeover beginning in January 2026. "It will be a complete transformation, while staying true to the hotel’s original spirit. The aim is to preserve and elevate what makes the Disney Sequoia Lodge so special," she explained.
From the lobby to the guest rooms, passing by the in-house restaurants and boutiques, every space has been redesigned to deliver an immersive forest experience. The interior design will be modernized while preserving the rustic, welcoming spirit that has defined the property since 1992. All of this unfolds within an eco-responsible approach, using sustainable materials and keeping the environmental footprint limited.
Another update: references to the Bambi film will give way to a broader cast of woodland-dwelling Disney characters, drawn from both classics and newer releases. We're talking here about Pocahontas and Merida (from Brave), in addition to Bambi, who remains at the hotel in a modernized form. These elements will be woven into the hotel’s visual and narrative universe through a creatively conceived approach for guests of all ages.
And good news above all: the Disney Sequoia Lodge will stay open throughout the renovations, which will be carried out in phases to preserve the guest experience. Work has begun on the five exterior lodges, with completion slated for the first quarter of 2027. The rest of the hotel will follow afterward.
The hotel itself offers a warm and cozy ambience in the middle of a haven of peace, with a plethora of standard rooms and numerous suites and Golden Forest Club rooms, among others. Rooms are spacious and family-friendly, with one or two double beds (for 2 or 4 people) and carefully decorated. All are air-conditioned and include a bathroom with bath and hairdryer.
Several services are included, such as Wi-Fi, Concierge service and luggage storage, so you can enjoy the parks just before heading home. A Disney boutique, Northwest Passage, is also available to hotel guests, as is the Disney Shopping Service delivery service. Guests can also take advantage of a swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) and a fitness room.
A buffet breakfast is served every morning. In the evening, after an eventful day, you can enjoy international cuisine at Hunter's Grill, or head to the Redwood Bar & Lounge to sip a few cocktails while planning your next adventures in the parks.
