If just the thought of a rare side of beef makes you drool, well, the opening of a grill restaurant, in Boulevard du Montparnasse, should make you happy. Open at the exact same spot as Hippopotamus, this brand-new restaurant answers the name of Bleu and chose to give pride of place to meat, like its predecessor.
At Bleu, the meat comes from France and is enjoyed in a universe reminding us of brasseries that made the fame of the Boulevard du Montparnasse, between the wars. Charolais flank sirloin steak, Limousin veal chop, Pyrénées lamb rack, Auvergne pork chop, Morteau sausage… and for those who are more into grilled fish, it’s also possible to enjoy lobsters and mackerels from Brittany.
But what would be a good meat without a homemade sauce and a side of your choice? Bleu thought about everything: sauces are made on the spot, after hours of reducing. And in terms of sides, gourmet eaters can choose French peas, Waldorf salad, Provençale tomatoes, steamed beans, and for the sweet touch at the end of the meal, cook’s desserts.
Inside or outside on the terrace, meats and fish from Bleu are to be enjoyed perfectly grilled. A dose of happiness for carnivores.
