The Bourdelle Museum reopens its doors after several months of work, and unveils a new café-restaurant to be discovered as of March 28, 2023, within the former workshops of the famous sculptor. Named Le Rhodia in homage to Antoine Bourdelle's daughter, this spot promises an original and comforting menu, inspired by the artist's life.

This is the event associated with the reopening of the Bourdelle Museum, which reopens its doors on March 15, 2023 after major renovation work. In one of the former workshops of the sculptor, a café-restaurant is born, named Le Rhodia, in tribute to the daughter of Antoine Bourdelle. Note however that you will have to wait until March 28 to be able to sit down in this new gourmet space.

The designer of this new place, Jean-René Chassignol, the founder of the "ISANA" restaurants, promises a cuisine worthy of the ambition of the new museum.

Located a stone's throw from the Montparnasse Tower, the charming Musée Bourdelle is one of the nuggets Paris has in store for strollers. Between workshops and hidden gardens, it is in this enchanting setting that Le Rhodia will set up its tables, inviting visitors, workers and local residents to a gourmet break. Le Rhodia will be a real place of life since it will be waiting for you continuously, all day long from 10am to 6pm, with a menu that will evolve throughout the day, from breakfast toearly afterwork.

In addition to the room overlooking the inner garden, there is a huge L-shaped terrace with an open and a covered part. We have no doubt that this terrace overlooking the front garden of the museum will be the ideal setting for a bucolic and gourmet break.

The Rhodia will offer a lively and comforting menu, nourished by references to the artist's life. The menu will evolve with the day and the seasons, and everything is homemade, with a responsible and healthy approach to cooking. The restaurant also emphasizes organic ingredients and local artisans.

Kids friendly, the café-restaurant will offer a children's formula at €11 during lunch, while the three adult formulas range from €15 to €21. The menu features wellness and gourmet dishes such as golden latte or eggnog, as well as dishes proposed by local artisans.

The menu will also feature daily specials such as garlic soup in tribute to Antoine Bourdelle. South American dishes such as ceviche and ISANA empanadas are also available. The menu is rounded out with comfort food such as beef bourguignon or pink celery remoulade.

Snack options include orange blossom brioche boule, honey and garrigue madeleines, and the amaranth/date/orange confit/hazelnut super cookie, which is suitable for foodies, vegetarians, and lactose and gluten intolerants. For savory cravings, guests can choose from hard-boiled eggs, celery remoulade and a charcuterie board. Iconic cocktails, such as the Chilean (Pisco Sour), are also available for those who like adventure.

A family-friendly brunch buffet will await you on Sundays from 10:30 am to 3 pm. It will feature a sweet and savory assortment of local and French specialties, as well as dishes from elsewhere that reflect Antoine Bourdelle's connection to foreign countries. This is a taste experience not to be missed!

The Rhodia 's decor is both modern and steeped in history, with a room that was designed by renowned Art Deco decorator Michel Dufet after his 1947 marriage to Bourdelle's daughter. The furniture is unique and designed to restore a domestic character to the old apartment, with materials such as stone, clay and wood, in homage to the work of Antoine Bourdelle. The space is embellished with touches of modernism and contemporary design, with chairs by Olavi Hänninen and Pierre Gautier Delaye, and lighting fixtures made in Celine Wright's workshop on Île Saint Louis.

In addition to offering tasty cuisine, Le Rhodia also takes care of us and the planet, with a responsible and sustainable approach to cooking, as well as returnable glass containers for outdoor consumption.

Le Rhodia will offer an unusual address in the heart of the 15th arrondissement of Paris, a stone's throw from the Montparnasse Tower, and an invitation to a gourmet break from the daily grind, from breakfast to family brunch.
