L’Atelier des Artistes owner Filipe Alves has done it again. Alongside the one who has been Le Baron bar manager for 10 years Boris Ponthieu, Vincent Martinez and David Lopes, he has just opened the new hot-spot in Paris with a very seducing concept.
At La Démesure, you can eat by the gram, drink by the centiliter and dance by the kilometer!
Nestled behind a black façade, 43 rue du Faubourg Montmartre, La Démesure reveals two stories, covering 450-sqm!
Once you’re in, you discover the famous covered terrace and a double room with 2 bars: a cocktail bar and a bar open onto the kitchen. To keep things interesting, you find menus and tableware hidden inside high bar tables!
On the basement, another cocktail bar with a very colorful decoration expects you as well as a cozy smoking room and a karaoke.
Cocktail enthusiasts will have the choice since these clever beverages, created by Boris Ponthieu (former Le Baron bar manager) can be ordered by the liter. You can choose the quantity you want: by the glass (25cl: €12), X2 (50cl: €20) or X4 (1l: €30).
Let yourself be tempted by the “Bobo is not dead” based on vodka Eristoff, strawberry Prosecco and cane sugar.
Or, you can opt for the “Dark’n Stormy” (Bacardi Oakheart, Ginger Beer, lime) or the “Last Word” (Gin Bombay, Green chartreuse, Luxardo Maraschino and lime).
Moving on to the restaurant, La Démesure also plays the originality card with a custom-made menu to fulfill all your cravings. Here, dishes can be ordered by the weight!
There is something for everyone and for all budget: between €8 and €14 for the first size, €12 for 80g of miso-marinated salmon or €24 for 160g of candied veal that is also available in 120g or 240g.
La Démesure also welcomes you at lunchtime with a set menu for €14.5 (starter/main) that varies according to the market and the deliveries, and in the weekend for the brunch.
Finally, La Démesure will seduce night-owls thanks to its bar-club located in the basement. On the menu? Fado concert or electro piano-bar on Wednesday and Thursday followed by a DJ set on weekends.
