Marcelle: Paris new gourmet and healthy hot spot

A coffee shop, a bakery and a kitchen at the same time, Marcelle is the new gourmet place to be in Paris, managed by a rocking female trio with Alexandra Delarive, Irène Cohen and Ophélie Barès.

Tasty gourmet addresses spring out in Paris for our greatest joy. The latest one? Marcelle, nestled in the 1st arrondissement.

Behind this name, we find a female trio that expects to fulfill the foodies’ needs and expectations who take care of them: Alexandra Delarive (also the mastermind behind Marcel and Marlon restaurants), Irène Cohen (founder of high-range kids’ clothes brand Bonton) and Ophélie Barès (winner of the French TV show “Qui sera le prochain grand pâtissier” and former executive chef for the whole Christophe Michalak stores).

Marcelle is part of these atypical addresses swaying from coffee shop, bakery to kitchen.

Speaking of cooking, it’s Ophélie Barès who came up with the whole menu. Offering a fresh, seasonal and homemade cuisine, the menu combines sweet and savory dishes with a varied offering (especially adapted to vegans, gluten-free and lactose-intolerant gourmets).

Early birds will go for the homemade granola, a puffed brioche or an egg in a hole for breakfast. At lunch, here you go with soups of the day, savory tarts, salads, seasonal couscous and even pies, Irish stew and sandwiches…

Ophélie also thought about sweet-toothed foodies with homemade cakes, brioches and pastries.

If some of you will rather go for eating these creations on the spot, within this genuine cocoon designed on two floors, the one in a rush will prefer to have them on the go. Same goes with homemade juices, smoothies and hot drinks.

In the weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, enjoy a brunch to make yourself. No matter if you’re more a viennoiseries eater or a chia & tapioca one, you will love the fresh juices, the smoothies, the benedict eggs and the lovely salads.
