A friendly oyster bar on the ground floor and a cocktail bar hidden underground? Sea Bar Ostrea and Perdition cocktail bar have come to Paris 1st arrondissement with a very cool concept to be discovered as soon as possible!

Two very different universes and one address: it’s the new concept to be discovered as soon as possible in Paris 1st arrondissement.

Officially inaugurated on April 20, 2017, Ostrea et Perdition both live at the same address: No. 60 in Rue de l’Arbre Sec. If the first one is a friendly sea bar giving pride of place to Marennes-Oléron oysters, the second hides underground and offers a very nice selection of cocktails, the whole in an atmosphere inspired by the roaring twenties.

But let’s keep talking about Sea Bar Ostrea. With its decoration reminding of the iodic spirit, this first level invites you to taste thoroughly selected oysters.

Three sizes of oysters coming from Marennes-Oléron Bay are offered but not only. No matter if you feel hungry or peckish, you’ll fulfill your taste buds with a selection of rillettes and sardines from Maison JC David, taramasalatas, smoked salmon and a smoked carpaccio of wild tuna.

To accompany these appetizers, Ostrea reveals a nice list of wines, to enjoy by the glass or the bottle. Among the references, we find Sancerre from Domaine Thiriot, Sauvignon La Petite Perriere, Nicolas Mariotti-Bindi’s Corsican Patrimonio

When we look Sea Bar walls closer, we discover abstracts from Baudelaire’s Man and the Sea. But looking even closer, we discover that one of the walls opens to take us to… the famous hidden bar, Perdition!

Once we've climbed down the stairs, we could only admire this restored ceiling with historic stones from the 17th century!

Displaying a style referring to the 30’s, Perdition Cocktail bar is mesmerizing with its central bar, its comfortable seats, its candle-lit coffee tables, and of course, the incredible beverages.

Prepared by Barmaid chef Anaïs Teulier (Prince de Galles hotel, 25ème heure /UC 61…), these cocktails are an invitation to travel with unique creations based on varied spirits.

For example, we go for the “Parisian French Cancan” made of Fino Sherry, whiskey, apricot cream, Noilly Prat and bitter Vanille, the “Juliette à Tokyo” with gin, fizzy sake, strawberry, lemon, Matcha green tea, truffle oil and soy-strawberry foam.

Discover “Le Temps des Secrets” as well based on yellow Chartreuse, grapefruit, mezcal, ginger, rosemary, Mediterranean tonic or one of the soft cocktail creation like the “Moulin Rouge” (strawberry, raspberry and rose cordial, lemon, cranberry juice and Thai basil).
