Bisou: the bar in Paris that can only be loved

Bisou is a bar full of softness with a rosy façade catching curious people’s eyes. We feel like at some friends’ place and what a surprise here! Where’s the menu? Well, there is none, as simple as that.

If there’s a bar that does everything differently, it’s the Bisou. Its name makes smile – since it means Kiss – and we keep smiling when leaving the place. Its bucolic terrace with hanging plants, its logs and its copper tables attract passersby like magnets.

Inside, we discover a bar with a soft décor with nude hues, made in partnership with David Gaillard form the Cabinet Les Curieuses. Nipple-like lamps offer a muted light to the walls covered in golden leaves and a marbled bar behind which lay several rows of spirits. Even the bathrooms are worth the detour with their walls covered in pink flamingos!

It’s here that the big boss also running the Bespoke, Nicolas Munoz, greets you with a smile, as a friend would do. His team includes 100% of passionate barmen and barmaids and they are super sociable. Here, it’s like being with friends: one chats, one loves, and one enjoys. The menu? There’s none. Whether you know what you want, or you go for a mystery cocktail. But if you go for a mojito or a piña colada, don’t expect to taste the classic version of these cocktails.

As we were saying, here, they do things differently. So, if you order a piña colada, you’ll get a piña colada, but Bisou way, meaning a Piña Colada based on melon with a delicate and granular texture that looks like whipped cream and in the mouth, it’s just as refreshing as a sorbet.

If you go for a mystery cocktail, you’ll have to confide in. What do you like? What do you hate? How do you feel? What are you craving? A few words are enough to inspire the team. A few minutes are enough to satisfy your taste buds.

Each of these cocktails are served with an edible flower matching the bucolic atmosphere of the bar but not only. Yes, we are in some eco-friendly place. Here, we try not to hurt the planet. Ingredients are seasonal and from France and organic! Most of ingredients are transformed into syrup to limit waste and produce as least waste as possible.

And if you feel hungry, don’t worry! The bar also serves several “small” boards. The table is vegan-friendly, so if you happen to be vegan, be rest assured: you can order the hummus with your eyes closed, it contains no ingredient from animal origin. If you’re not vegan, we recommend you the sardine rillettes. Anyway, you should expect super hearty portions: if there are two of you, you’ll hardly eat it all.
