WTF: here’s the name of the new cocktail list to discover asap at the hidden bar, La Mezcaleria, in Paris.

Who doesn’t know La Mezcaleria, yet? Open since 2015 behind the kitchen of the INKA restaurant in the 1K Paris, La Mezcaleria is part of these trendy and unmissable speakeasies in Paris.

But since September, the place has brought some changes such as these new homemade décor elements directly inspired by the Oaxaca region, Mexico, where Mezcal is produced.

But it’s not the only novelty of the 1K Paris hidden bar. Barman chef Ben Tyler has also launched a new cocktail list available for a year.

Called WTF (for “What The F***”), this menu looks like a genuine fashion magazine with photographs and interviews of French and Mexican artists. They talk about pictures, cooking, tattoos, music, fashion and even erotism.

But we also find 16 beverages (from €7 to €15). May Mojito lovers or Cosmopolitan lovers go on their way. Here, at La Mezcaleria, mezcal is king and included in every drink, starting with these two limited-edition cocktails, 30 samples being served per day!

That night, patrons enjoyed the “Matatlan” based on Mezcal, bourbon, vermouth, bitter Angostura and basil leaves.

For the rest, we find 14 creation cocktails going from the lightest to the strongest (trust the *). Among the best-sellers, there’s the “Simple Basic” based on Mezcal, mandarin, pineapple juice and agave soda.

Go also for the exquisite “Horny Conico” made of mezcal, angostura amaro, cocoa, pedro Ximenes and lemon or the “No Secret for Victoria” with mezcal, kombucha, hibiscus, champagne and dry banana.

The whole is served – if you want – with some Latino tapas, guacamole and even quesadillas!

Alcohol abuse is bad for your health, please drink responsibly.

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
