Here’s a new spot likely to become the place to be! I’m talking about Poinçon, this new place of life with a cultural dimension set in the former Montrouge-Ceinture railway station in Paris 14th arrondissement.
Described as “a contemporary area with a warm and bargain-hunted décor”, Poinçon brings this former station in south Paris back to life as it was first inaugurated on February 25, 1867. Its particularity? Its octagonal shape literal set straddling the rails!
Closed to travelers in 1934, the Montrouge-Ceinture station comes back to life in 2008 after 74 years of negligence.
But it’s in May 2014 that the municipality of Paris 14th arrondissement, its mayor Carine Petit and Paris Habitat choose to entrust this beautiful venue to Renaud Barillet and Fabrice Martinez, creators of place of life with their company Cultplace already behind La Bellevilloise in Paris 20th arrondissement.
By opening Poinçon, the two associates bet on a new hybrid and innovative place covering 400sqm and including a 250-sqm terrace. Mixing cultural and social program, café and restaurant, exhibitions and events, Poinçon is the new Parisian place where you can chill and meet with friends.
Meet from July 18, 2019 to discover this new place in Paris.
