A cocktail bar underneath a creperie? This is the the good address we highly recommend you discover at Breizh Café Montorgueil in Paris 2nd arrondissement. At the helm, barman chef Robin Le Texier who launches an excellent new list of beverages inspired by colors and feelings.

Confidential bar, cider cellar, cocktail bar… Call it whatever you want but Breizh Café Montorgueil bar is worth the trip. First, we have the cozy, friendly and intimate atmosphere of the place. Then, there is what patrons are coming in crowds for: the famous and delicious cocktails.

After the endless health restrictions, Breizh Café Montorgueil cider cellar reopened this past September with a new cocktail list, super well-worked on by Robin Le Texier. Yes, behind the bar, we are happy to meet again with the talented bartender who trained at La Fabrique in Saint-Malo, Brittany. As a proof of his talent, Robin has been named winner of the Bartenders Online Challenge 2021.

Already behind the first cocktail list created in 2019, the barman chef has once again bent over backwards to arouse your taste buds. This time, Robin has pushed the experience a step further, sending a form to several of his acquaintances in order to come up with a solid data base, and give birth to eight cocktails gathered in a list called "La couleur des émotions" or "The color of emotions". Joy, boredom, amusement, admiration... The hardest part is to choose!

Their particularity? Brilliantly mixing Breton and Japanese flavors, values so dear to Breizh Café founder Bertrand Larcher’s heart.

Thanks to Robin's technical skills and creativity, magic works very quickly. Creations are both authentic and original, using ingredients coming from Japan and Brittany.

We fall for the very coveted “Peur” based on a blend of "Nikka Coffey Vodka" and "Eor" vodka, Original Dark "Plantation" rum, White "Dolin" Vermouth, Black Krim tomato juice, white nectarine juice, "Fuji" apple juice, lemon, homemade "Roellinger" spice syrup, soy milk, buttermilk infused with dried garlic and Tôgarachi (a mix of seven spices). But do not be scared. There are many ingredients, but the harmont is flawless. Both smooth and spicy, this cocktail is to die for!

We also loved the "Amusement" a lot! Based on "Plantation Three Stars" rum, Yuzushu (Japanese alcoholic yuzu-based drink), sweet potato Schochu, beta carotene cordial, galanga and green shizo, lime and "Luscombe" ginger beer, and egg white, this beverage is both sour and comforting!

If you have already tried the cocktail list in 2019, and you feel under the spell of the "Sarrasin" drink, you might fall in love with the toasty and delicate "Nostalgie" cocktail. It is based on homemade blend of Breton Pommeaux, homemade blend of nigori umeshu (Japanese alcoholic drink based on macerated prunes) and tengumai (a kind of sake from the Ishikawa province), Xeres wine and readjusted Sobacha (roasted buckwheat seed infusion) infusion, and buckwheat tincture.

And what to say about the very scrumptious hints of the delicious "Calme" cocktail? To sip from a bowl, like a genuine herbal tea, this surprising beverage is based on "Sab's" pear, infused with vanilla seeds and Gingko Biloba leaves (an Asian tree with edible leaves), "Txalaparta" apple wine, "Abelha Silver" cachaça, lemon balm water and Tonka bean, and coconut water foam.

To enjoy these delicious beverages, Breizh Café Montorgueil cider cellar provides you with a collection of very-well made pairings such as organic shrimps and wasabi mayonnaise to enjoy with the "Amusement" cocktail, or the honey and buckwheat pancake to enjoy with the "Calme" cocktail, or the some chorizo from the Basque Country and Comté cheese pancake to devor with the "Peur" drink. Once again, magic works and our taste buds are craving for more!

To fully enjoy this gustatory experience and make the most of this confidential venue we highly recommend, meet now at the Breizh Café Montorgueil cider cellar. You will remember it!
