After delighting us with Polpo Plage last summer, Polpo unveils its winter terrace. Polpo Nord, this is the name of this terrace set by the Seine in Levallois and expecting you on weekends from Friday night to Sunday. Let’s go and discover this temporary spot likely to enchant children and grown-up children like us.
The terrace is inspired by winter and will delight even the most sensitive to the cold who can enjoy dishes wrapped in cozy plaids under heating lamps especially set up. But the big novelty that will warm up the boldest patrons is the 40sqm ice-skating rink on which children and adults can skate! Skates are available so that you can make your first steps (or your most beautiful axels!) on the synthetic rink.
But we’re feeling hungry after so much sport, and to feed the gourmands we are, the spot has thought about everything. Available at Polpo Nord, comfort food including three tasty and hearty recipes from Maison de la Poutine. Since 2017, chef Erwan Caradec revisits this famous Quebec dish by bringing a gourmet twist to his recipes based on fresh ingredients. Cheese – an essential ingredient for Poutine – is made in a dairy especially for Maison de la Poutine delighted to have won best Poutine award in the “International” category of the Poutine Week 2019! And it’s absolutely delicious!
Need to quench your thirst? You can enjoy some Skoll beer or the house’s winter cocktail: Fils de Pomme organic cider warmed up with cinnamon, star anise, clove, cane sugar, apple, fresh ginger and laurel. As an appetizer, enjoy Super Producteurs spreads served with Pain du Marais bread.
The good deal on Sunday at Polpo is the family brunch! The occasion to come to Polpo Nord to enjoy some creamy hot chocolate. You can also meet the nice deer who will help mini ice-skating kings and queens to keep their balance on the ice.
In other words, if you’re looking for a nice spot in the open air, to feel like at the mountain with poutine and warm cider on the menu, this is the place to be!
