Uncino unveils its wine bar

Restaurant Uncino turns into a wine bar counter where one can enjoy Italian and French wines along with Florentine specialties.

Fantastic Pigalle-set Italian restaurant Uncino offers you something wonderfully new in 2020 with the opening of a wine bar at the counter of the restaurant.

For about 2 years, Italian chef Gabriele Muti pays tribute to his island origins from Elba, but before being a talented chef, Gabriele is a passionate sommelier. For the restaurant, he’s developed a natural wine list as sharp as personal with over 200 references, mainly from Italy, even though he doesn’t say no to some French gems.

From now on, from Monday to Friday, from 7 p.m., you’re invited to taste these beverages at the restaurant counter. Italian side, we have wines from Piedmont and Tuscany, as well as the Emilie Romagne, Venetia or Lombardi. French side, we have wines from Alsace, Burgundy, Jura, Loire, Rhone and Beaujolais.

To pair your drinks, the chef provides topini on a short and exclusive menu at the counter, based on Florentine specialties such as Coccoli con capocollo (small fried balls of bread served with capocollo cold cuts), the Panino con lampredotto (small and emblematic sandwich from the Florentine street food), Lampredotto (cow’s offal exclusively imported from Florence), Pappa al pomodoro (bread and tomato puree) or even Panino con stracotto (small bread stuffed with 5-hour stewed beef meat).

A true journey to Italy!
