Edo, this is the name of this new summer terrace set on the parvis of the Palais de Tokyo open from July 15 to October 15, 2020. Designed by Assembly group, this new temporary bar and restaurant gives pride of place to street food with a menu put up by chef Mory Sacko. We tell you more about it.

Summer is here already and new terraces keep on opening in Paris. Meet from July 15 to October 15, 2020 in front of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris to discover Edo. EDO – like Tokyo from 1603 to 1868 and the culture of the “floating world”.

Behind this new temporary terrace, there is the famous Assembly group (Silencio, Beau Regard, Wanderlust, FVTVR, and Joséphine). And in addition to satisfying your eyes with its magnificent view on the Eiffel tower, Edo will also delight your taste buds with street food and an African and Japanese-inspired menu concocted by the now famous chef Mory Sacko.

On the menu? Grilled and fried food, noodles, as well as “soya” beef skewers, teriyaki salmon tempura, cold pèpè soup (spicy fish soup typical of Western Africa) with soba noodles. As for dinks, enjoy a nice selection of sakes, as well as natural wines and cocktails.

I have been inspired by the energy of African and Japanese street-food through grilled food, bitter-sweet sauces, fried food and spices. These elements directly call for our instincts, and this is what I wish to convey through my cooking. My work at EDO shows this breeding ground that moves meMory Sacko says about the menu he created for Edo.

To top it all, Edo will display a futuristic décor designed by Visual System group. With the bar on one side, the restaurant-installation on the other, and through light and sound, patrons will be put in the heart of an abstract, geometric, and light universe that will leave nobody untouched.

For the record, Mory Sacko – who was a contestant in Top Chef France’s 11th season, will soon open his very first restaurant in Paris. Called MoSuke, this new gourmet place will be open in Paris 14th arrondissement.

In the meantime, discover Edo. And to do so, head from July 15 to the parvis of the Palais de Tokyo. Please note Edo will welcome you from July 15 to August 22 from Tuesdays to Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., and from August 25 to October 15, 2020 every day from noon to 2 a.m.
