For Christmas 2023, chocolatier and artist sculptor Patrick Roger is offering his customary collection of Christmas chocolates. As Meilleur Ouvrier de France Chocolatier, his chocolate creations are, of course, stunning!
Since last year, the theme of Patrick Roger's boutiques has been Japan, with a variation on the world of sumo wrestling. The chocolatier has sculpted huge sumo heads to adorn his shop windows. These sumos wear barrettes whose colors change throughout the year, according to the season.
But for the festive season, Patrick Roger is refocusing on several creations that appeal to sweet tooths: chocolate truffles, but also caramel and whisky truffles; Christmas balloons in Madagascar 65% chocolate , decorated with allegories of almonds, orange zest and raisins; and his famous (and oh so magnificent) chocolate half-spheres, as pretty to look at as they are good to eat.
This year, the chocolatier unveils 4 new half-sphere recipes: mandarin, arbutus, gentian and black truffle. As usual, these explode in the mouth upon tasting - a real treat. To be found in Patrick Roger's Paris boutiques, as well as online this December.
And then, for the 2024 Olympic Games to be held in Paris next year, the chef chocolatier, who is also a sculptor, has come up with huge sculptures of the 5 Olympic rings... in chocolate!
