Holidays 2021 are just around the corner and gourmands are already looking for the perfect yule log to flawlessly finish their Christmas or New Year’s dinner. But do you know where the yule log comes from?
A long time ago, each guest invited to Christmas Eve dinner used to bring a log to warm the house up during the night. Since heating systems have changed since then, this lovely tradition could have disappeared if pâtissier Pierre Lacam did not step in and have the idea to make it a cake.
And because things going on well, it is actually in Pierre Lacam’s grandson's patisserie rue des Martyrs that Sébastien Gaudard has settled in and decided to delight our taste buds with delicious sweet creations.
For this Christmas 2021, Lorraine pastry chef Sébastien Gaudard wishes to innovate and come with traditional yule logs and a selection of desserts and treats you can do yourself with your family or friends. "After two peculiar years, I wanted to provide new experiences speaking to everyone to make of Christmas 2021 a convivial and playful moment for families. The 'Presque tout pour...' selection will enable, I hope, to create memories of sharing for foodies", Sebastien Gaudard said.
To arouse one's curiosity and taste buds, Sébastien Gaudard presents his gingerbread home, a zero waste home, 100% sustainable made in partnership with Ateliers Chutes Libres, a group of designers.
