For this Christmas 2017, famous chocolate maker from Nantes Vincent Guerlais offers not less than 5 yule logs to enjoy with your family. Chocolate, lemon, raspberry and even pistachio… You’re likely to find your happiness in one of the five creations!

It’s within the very lovely lounge nestled in Paris Hôtel Castille that chocolate maker Vincent Guerlais set up a tasting of his new sweet creations imagined for this Christmas.

This year, the talented chocolate maker artisan came up with five colorful and delicious yule logs with various flavors likely to fulfill your taste buds at the end of the meal.

First of all, there’s our all-time favorite, the Bûche Catania with its heart hiding a gourmet and light Bronte pistachio cream as well as a whipped vanilla ganache perfectly matching the pan-fried Morello cherries with Muscovado sugar from Maurice.

Cocoa-addicts will not resist the chocolate maker’s signature log: the Bûche Absolu. With its dark chocolate cream and its dark chocolate ganache with a delicious salted butter caramel, your taste buds will ask for more!

For fruits lovers, go for the Bûche Heritage with a smooth raspberry cream, a cream with chocolate from Madagascar and a raspberry and Sancho berries confit enhanced with a crispy cocoa beans biscuit.

Sourness amateurs, succumb to the Bûche Inzecca based on Menton lemon zests, a Gianduja cream, candied Menton lemons and a lime madeleine biscuit.

  • Bûche Cantania (cherry décor): smooth Bronte pistachio mousse, whipped vanilla ganache, Muscovado sugar from Maurice pan-fried Morello cherries.

  • Bûche Angelys (pear décor): honey roasted pears, caramelized pecans crispy biscuit, smooth milk chocolate cream and moist biscuit (gingerbread way but without spices).

  • Bûche Absolu (cacao pod décor): dark chocolate cream, dark chocolate and salted butter caramel ganache.

  • Bûche Héritage (raspberry décor): smooth raspberry cream, chocolate from Madagascar cream, raspberry and Sancho berries confit and crispy cocoa beans biscuit.

  • Bûche Inzecca (lemon décor): Menton lemon zests, Gianduja cream, candied Menton lemons and lime madeleine biscuit.

The only cloud on the horizon is that Vincent Guerlais has no store in Paris… You will have to be in Nantes for the Holidays… But I’m pretty sure that the most gourmet of you are willing to go to Nantes to enjoy one of the yule logs signed by Vincent Guerlais!
