Pierre Hermé, Best Pastry Chef in the World, our very own Picasso of pastry, has opened the doors of his French tea room on the Champs-Elysées! This 1,000m² temple to gourmet delights boasts a terrace, a beautiful boutique and an olfactory experience area signed l'Occitane en Provence.

After the opening of the Christophe Michalak and Christophe Adam spots, we were hoping for just one thing: the creation of a restaurant-tea room by Pierre Hermé, the Picasso of pastry, voted World's Best Pastry Chef, and now we've got it, with the 86Champs concept-store, an address imagined with l'Occitane en Provence to give lovers of Ispahan, Mogador or Plénitude a whole new experience.

But why a project with l'Occitane? It's obvious once you know it. Pierre Hermé and l'Occitane use the same scents and fragrances in their product ranges, are friends and have joined forces to open a central concept store on the Champs-Elysées. Rose, almond, verbena, immortelle, shea: you'll be able to touch, smell, taste and drink the ingredients so cherished by both houses!

At 86 avenue des Champs-Elysées, the pastry chef presents the very best of his art, thanks to the talent of Yann Evano, his second-in-command at the Royal Monceau, who offers pastries with stunning textures, temperatures and tastes, to complement the range of takeaway pastries.

The pastry chef promises exclusive desserts, delicious dishes, "drinking cakes", to be enjoyed with a straw or spoon (strangely reminiscent of Michalak's Kosmik, but better) and Pierre Hermé drinks not found in pastry shops, to be enjoyed in the banquette or on the counter.

For breakfast, Pierre Hermé offers his classic viennoiseries, Ispahan croissant (2.4€), kougloff (4.20€), granola, fromage blanc and fresh fruit at 16€, to be accompanied by teas, delicious coffees (try the Cascaccino - a cappuccino with Cascara, a Chocolat Chaud (with Passion fruit for Mogador lovers!) at 12€ .

For a king's breakfast, the 86Champs formula includes fresh fruit juice, a hot drink, mini-viennoiseries, a baguette and its accompaniments (butter, Ispahan and Satine jams, Infiniment Praliné Noisette spread), and eggs cooked to order, for 38€!

For a relaxing afternoon, the salon de thé features desserts on a plate: made-to-order millefeuille (rose-raspberry-letchi, vanilla, chocolate-passion fruit-chocolate-yuzu), signature desserts, desserts to drink made with ice cream and cookies (15€), and 50€ for a tête à tête with 2 hot drinks, 2 pastries, 2 macaroons and 2 madeleines.

If this is your dream address, you should know that Pierre Hermé is launching a savory menu! yes, savory - with revisited brasserie dishes, including roast Bresse poultry at 32€, spaghetti with bottarga at 25€, a croque-monsieur with comté cheese at 24€, and roasted potimarron, Piedmont hazelnuts and crispy bacon, and omelettes in all their forms for lunch. From 6pm onwards, cocktails will be available to liven up your afterwork!
