It’s been a few months now that the 42 rue du Chemin Vert turned into a vegan den. Here no milk, honey or leather, but only products respecting animals. And, by extension, environment and social ethic, thanks to choosing sustainable brands.
Cosmetics are cruelty-free (meaning they haven’t been tested on animals), shoes are made of imitation leather and tofu is the king of the menu… that, whatever prejudice amateurs may think, isn’t destined to skinny people!
Because it’s not that products are sustainable that we chew our salad with boredom… here, the watchword is comfort food, in other words, gourmet food. On the menu then: very cheeky toasted clubs, whole bowl because it’s trendy, cheesecake that will put New York on its knees, and a Chocolate peanut butter fudge that became an irresistible best seller in a few weeks only. (If you’re on a diet, a gluten-free version is also available).
In terms of décor, regressive armchairs expect you behind the windows painted by a young Parisian artist. On the walls, rap album covers rub shoulders with plants, not far, a free photobooth and a comprehensive selection of sportswear clothes. The place is very clear and the atmosphere suits chatting sessions as well as reading sessions or nomadic work sessions.
In other words, this new hippie Eldorado definitely looks like a trendy hotspot, embodying vegan lifestyle very contemporary popularity: whatever your food obedience, you’ll be seduced, believe our long experience as a Parisian bushwhacker!
