Coffee shops are springing up all over France and in Paris. Taking advantage of a legal loophole, they market products containing cannabidiol(CBD), the molecule of therapeutic cannabis, while ensuring that the THC content is below 0.2%, the authorized limit.
Canna Coffee is a coffee shop that has just opened in the lively Rue Oberkampf. But unlike other coffee shops in Paris, which consist solely of a sales counter, Canna Coffee is a real coffee shop! At Canna Coffee, you take your time and sit on the sunny terrace or inside, bathed in the delicious smells of freshly baked cakes.
But what exactly is on offer at Canna Coffee? The coffee shop offers a fine range of sweet treats, all made on site: ultra-moist space cookies (5€), happy brownies (5€), French toast (9€); but also savory delights: quiches (6€) and cannacorn (5€). Drinks are accompanied by a nice latte, or a refreshing fruit infusion (7€) or happy milkshake (10€).
The dishes on offer are prepared with Marrakech butter, cream and milk, infused with the plant that gives them their taste and smell. But don't expect to hallucinate! According to consumers, CBD has medicinal, relaxing and soothing properties, with no psychotropic effects.
In addition to these little treats, Canna Coffee also offers a whole range of products containing CBD: vaping products (€20-75), teas and herbal teas (€20), as well as oils (€40-130), ointment (€110) and even toothpaste (€14).
