Our discovery/tasting of yule logs 2019 continues with Maison Aleph.
Maison Aleph is a pastry shop we love and that offers delicious pastries mixing traditional produces from Orient (Damas rose, jasmine, halva, sumac) and contemporary French pastry know-how.
The place is managed by Myriam Sabet who unveils not one but two gourmet yule logs with original flavors and surprising graphic: a game of Backgammon, a childhood memory of Myriam Sabet.
The first yule log is all about hazelnut, halva, sesame and praline. Deliciously regressive, it will delight children and adults. Wait until you discover its runny praline heart!
And we have the second yule log that is based on citron (a bitter citrus fruit from Mediterranean), lemon, almonds and cardamom. This “more adult” yule log – because of the selected ingredients – will likely delight demanding palates with more interesting flavors.
Dear foodies, note that these two little wonders are available to order starting December 1, 2019.
