Social networks star, Le Meurice pastry chef keeps on creating fruits - more and more difficult such as the strawberry that gave him a hard time... 7 years of work to reach the result this hard-worker wanted! In 7 years then and since he arrived at Le Meurice, he created 32 pastries recreating fruits almost to perfection.
Since then, the young chef has opened another patisserie, Cédric Grolet Opéra set avenue de l'Opéra, but keeps on working fruits for Le Meurice. His store celebrated the 3rd anniversary in March but the chef wants to offer a 100% fruit weekend, providing the 32 pastries in one shot!
Lemon, orange, hazelnut, cherry, peach, apricot, strawberry, almond, or even tomato, Grolet has fun transforming fruits into pastries thanks to a sculpting work. So much that his pastry fruits attract crowds from all over the world. Usually there are only five fruits available depending on seasons.

This small treat costs about €17, a rate that is explained with the work and ingredients used. Grolet promises never-before-tasted flavors and textures! And if you are a pastry connoisseur, the chef unveils his recipes in a 256-page book, modestly called Fruit, sold for €39.
