%ARABICA, Passage des Panoramas new counter and coffee shop

It’s in the famous Passage des Panoramas in Paris 2^nd arrondissement that %ARABICA has decided to settle down and offer us to taste and purchase coffee beans. It’s not one but two spots that are now available: a 11sqm “coffee to go” stand completed by a 25-sqm laboratory devoted to roasting and where you can have a seat in the adjoining Galerie Feydeau.

After opening a kiosk when Beaupassage opened in Paris 7^th arrondissement and a store likely to open soon, Pierre-Olivier Vergnot fell in love with the brand and after travelling to Japan, he invites us to discover these fresh and new addresses.

We discover then the universe of the brand and its special coffees. You have high quality coffees with demanding criteria. Clean and elegant style inspired by Japan and designed by Masaki Kato, quality and great care given to the preparations and no fewer than 5 baristas, that’s the crème de la crème of cafés. We also discover beautiful origins and we learn that like each store of the brand, the place roasts their coffee to drink on the spot or to take away. It’s the perfect place if you want to buy freshly roasted coffee beans or enjoy the best coffee you’ve ever had.

For the anecdote, %ARABICA is a Japanese brand created in 2014. Passionately demanding, Kenneth Shoji abandons international management to become a “coffee artist” (barista). To meet his need of having the best cup of coffee every day, he purchases a coffee farm in Hawaii and grows the famous Kona coffee. He also creates the brand at the same time. In 2014, he joins forces with Latte Art champion Junichi Yamaguchi. Together, they open their first store in Kyoto, in Gion, the historical Geisha neighborhood, wanting to serve the best special coffees and conquer the world. Led by a passion and a constant demand, both men are now pioneering in the country of the tea.

%ARABICA sources, imports, roasts and distributes coffees marked by the excellence of the taste. A particular care is given to the picking, the roasting and the tasting. On the spot, we find green beans from Africa and Latin America coming from the best farms and exceptional terroirs. They privilege small quality producers working in sustainable agriculture.

To prepare your coffee, %ARABICA uses precise tools, custom-made coffee machines for a tailored coffee. Now, you only have to close your eyes and enjoy.
