Good news for Philippe Conticini fans! A year after opening the Gâteaux d’Emotions patisserie on rue de Varenne (Paris 7th arrondissement), the great pastry chef is about to open two new stores, on in the 3rd arrondissement, in République, the other in the 16th arrondissement (between La Muette and Passy).
In these stores, Philippe Conticini will offer many sweet treats: candied lemon and buckwheat tartlets, black sesame and homemade praline Emotions, lemon boule cakes, chocolate filled cream puffs, rocking brownies and so on…
Each pastry is made to bring special emotions and we must say the chef has some experience under his belt. Now 56 years old, the chef has been baking all his life since his own parents where restaurateurs. He tried everything and at 17 years old, he starts training with a two-Michelin-starred chef. He then meets success with his innovations. For instance, we owe him the verrines, Nutella-based desserts and classics revisited with less butter he creates for restaurants he works in and for La Pâtisserie des Rêves he launches in 2009 before leaving it in 2016.
Since 2017, the chef has been living a new adventure: Gâteaux d’Emotions. In a Facebook Post, the pastry chef tells us about his joy to continue with two new addresses:
We’re wondering if these two addresses will follow the same example and path as the tearoom on rue de Varenne or if they will be only two stores.
To find out, meet on Saturday November 9, 2019 from 9 a.m. to noon at 42 rue de l’Annonciation (75016) or from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 31 rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth (75003), Philippe Conticini will be present for a picture or a dedication in his book. Save the date!
