Since earlier this summer, Douceurs Capitales has been spreading its cute little terrace in front of the Square Gardette in Paris 11th arrondissement. This vegetarian coffee shop open by Alice serves craft coffees from Coutume, French pastries and savory delights, the whole is homemade and enjoyed in a warm and cozy setting.
It’s after spending a month in Australia that Alice – a young consultant and fond of pastry – decides to take the plunge and open her own coffee shop in Paris 11th arrondissement. After training with Yann Couvreur and Coutume Café, Douceurs Capitales was born! On the menu, no banana bread, not carrot cake or brownies, but typically French and deliciously regressive desserts: madeleines, pound cake, fig and almond tart… All ingredients are fresh and seasonal and everything on the menu is homemade.
As for savory, the menu shows one more time that you can enjoy good food even though you’re vegetarian: toasts changing weekly, savory pies, seasonal bowls… This September’s week, it was jacket sweet potato with Greek yogurt, lemon zests and soft-boiled egg, so good! We also particularly recommend Romain’s cookies with sea salt and hazelnuts that taste absolutely good!
A cozy place where it’s good to cuddle up inside or soak up some sunrays on the small terrace when the weather allows it. To try as soon as possible!
