You dream of a patisserie providing unlimited food? Olivier Stehly did it for you! On Sundays, this pastry chef expects you at his tearoom in Châtelet-les-Halles for an 100% tasty all-you-can-eat brunch giving pride of place to pastries.
Inside, stars are kept fresh and cool, while you can enjoy something to brunch on. Viennoiseries, pancakes, crepes, madeleines, cereals, eggs, salads and quiches, as well as pastries, macarons and cookies to die for or even financiers, the choice is all yours and we want to taste them all. it’s even harder when we already know Olivier’s cookies and financiers!
Since we’re not here to joke around, we filled our plates to the fullest. Pancakes are killing, especially when coated in maple syrup, and madeleines are perfectly smooth (soaked in milky coffee!). Resolutely regressive, it’s the dream brunch for grown-up children who find mini sausages to pair their scrambled eggs.
If we could only eat viennoiseries, the chef thought about everything and prepared quiches and salads based on lentils and quinoas, simple but perfectly mastered. Two dishes are said to come soon: a risotto, and a pasta dish to stick to greed and for winter, soups will be available.
Moving on to cheese, the chef has some very classic options (camembert, emmental and cheese spread), his most tantalizing “cheese” being his cheesecake in the window!
Yes, there’s a reason why Olivier Stehly is nicknamed Sugar Hero. This sweet-toothed pastry chef has created a brunch like him: fun, bold and creative. Gourmets really want to try the chocolate bar, the “Esquimau”, the Saint Honoré and the Saint-Domingue or even the lemon pie!
