Pastry chef Cédric Grolet unveils at Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées Café Citron the winter version of his famous trompe l’oeil pastry, Le Citron.

For the Holidays 2020, Cédric Grolet’s famous trompe l’oeil pastry, Le Citron, is fit for the season.

Available at Café Citron at the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées, the star chef’s star dessert is indeed dressed in a white coat and is renamed “La Boule de neige acidulée” [The Sour Snowball].

Still in line with seasonal fruits, the chef chose to work coconut for its refreshing taste, softness and smoothness reminding us of the snow we expect every year.

A nice touch of Cimes pepper to awaken gourmands’ and gourmets’ palates with a bit of sourness.

In other words, a small treat (€25) to treat yourself to – or someone else. But careful, though, it’s only available in limited edition, so, make sure you have it before it’s gone!
