The Jardins du Palais-Royal is undoubtedly one of the most coveted parks in Paris. all year around, the beauty of the place is striking while one walks among the garden. By “Les Deux plateaux”, skateboard, rollerblade and bicycle fans zigzag between the “Colonnes de Buren”, while others are busy climbing them.
Moving on to the park itself, one reads, comfortably seated in front of the fountains, or treats themselves to a break under the shadows of the trees, while others are walking their dogs or play boules. On sunny days, terraces from the different cafés and restaurants in the galleries are often quickly crowded. No doubt, the Jardins du Palais-Royal are a symbol of the Parisian art de vivre.
And here is that under the arches of the Galerie Montpensier, a newcomer is enlivening this garden cherished by Parisians even more. Its name? Bonjour Palais-Royal. The opening of this colorful coffee shop breathes a breath of fresh air on stores around this green setting. This resolutely young and modern spot has it all to attract foodies with mouthwatering crêpes and colorful lattes one can enjoy on the terrace or on the go.
While coming in Bonjour Palais-Royal, one discovers a trendy setting yet keeping the key elements of Paris from yesteryear included in the updated decoration. Here, one is warmly welcomed and invited to choose among the delights on the menu. Here, everything is 100% organic: crêpes are made on site in the open-plan kitchen. The batter is homemade and it is really obvious!
The asset is recipes can be adapted to your cravings or diet. If you are gluten-intolerant, you can order a buckwheat pancake for sweet recipes rather than the traditional wheat crêpes. As for the savory offers, fall for the mouthwatering Amalfi with bresaola, mozzarella, basil and olive oil.
Although the stuffing is very hearty, the recipe is so well-balanced it does not feel heavy on the stomach. If you have a sweet tooth, we highly recommend the homemade salted butter caramel crêpe with almond shavings: surprisingly light but terribly indulging, it is a heart-stopper!
As for drinks, surprise is to be expected. But to not let yourselves be tricked by the impressive colors of the lattes served by this uncommon coffee shop: they are all based on natural flavors. These drinks are not just pleasant looking, they are also delicious and low in sugar. And once again, recipes can be adapted to your preferences.
In turns, we enjoyed the blue matcha with Butterfly Pea Flowers, a thein-free version enjoyed with plant-based milk, as well as pink matcha with dragon fruit, perfect for sweet-toothed foodies and of course, the classic green matcha prepared by the book. Creations can be served iced or warm. In this case, the light texture of the matcha latte will delight even the most demanding patrons. Last but not least, coffee drinkers are not left out since you can enjoy an indulging latte with vanilla syrup.
You get it, this is a very uncommon Coffee Shop whether it comes to the menu or the setting. But what we like even more there is the excellent quality-price ratio. Despite a highly touristic location and excellent quality products, rates are affordable: allow between €9 and €12 for a savory pancake, and between €5 and €8 for a sweet crêpe. As for lattes, allow between €5 and €6.5.
