For the Holidays, Lucas Carton – this historic restaurant from 1839 – has decided to provide you with a Christmas tearoom opening on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays all December long.
Note you shall enter from the Passage Madeleine, on the left of the restaurant. Go to the first floor of the place and enjoy a lounge usually used for private receptions. Confidential, this Christmas teatime has it all.
Running this delicious break, talented pastry chef Jordan Talbot – trained by Lignac, Génin and Fauchon. Wonderful pairings, nice textures and sophisticated creations, we crave for more.
For this scrumptious Christmas break, start with the creamy homemade hot chocolate, a cup of coffee or tea to choose from the cart packed with a nice selection of teas from Nectar de Thé.
Then, continue with the delicious and light orange, honey and pollen madeleines.
Fall for the caramel and pecan cake, smooth and crunchy, reminding us of the texture of financiers.
We also love the chocolate and crunchy puff sobacha cookie.
Have a fresh break with the exotic coconut verrine including mango, galanga and Magao pepper.
Before you fall for a pastry of your choice. As for us, we went for the exquisite orange blossom and yellow lemon cheesecake, and the small Christmas cake with peanut and caramel.
Finish this delicious teatime with a chocolate mendiant.
Note the Christmas tearoom opens from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is available on Thursday December 2, 9, 16 and 23, on Friday December 3, 10, 17 and 24 and on Saturday December 11 and 18.
A Christmas teatime to enjoy as soon as possible!
