For a successful Epiphany 2020, pastry chef Laurent Duchêne – who’s also a Meilleur Ouvrier de France – came up with an original recipe for his Epiphany Cake: inspired by the Tatin Sisters!

Starting January 3, 2020, the biggest sweet-toothed among you will be able to enjoy the Epiphany Cake concocted by pastry chef Laurent Duchêne for Epiphany 2020!

On the occasion, the Meilleur Ouvrier de France has created a cake that changes from the traditional French Epiphany Cake since he’s been inspired by the Tatin sister, mostly known for… turning their desserts upside down!

Cooked upside down then, this flaky cake is filled with almond cream, squash and flax seeds as well as oat flakes for an unparalleled crunch.

Its heart holds some smooth almond cream topped with raisins soaked in honey and lemon zests. As the final touch, small pieces of caramel decorate this cake for lots of deliciousness!

So, if you like original Epiphany Cakes, you don’t want to miss this one! It will be available for sale for €22 serving 3 to 4 and €30 serving 5 to 6.

And if you’re lucky, perhaps will you get a mini golden Epiphany Cake by Laurent Duchêne allowing you to win the Epiphany Cake of your choice!
