It’s a time of the year gourmands are impatient about. Like for every Holidays, yule logs are about to proudly sit on your tables no matter if they are exotic, classic or even original.
This year, hotel The Westin Paris-Vendôme team has been inspired by Marie-Antoinette’s universe and unveils the “Le Noël de Marie-Antoinette” yule log.
For this new creation, the hotel pastry chef Florence Lesage takes us to the heart of the 18th century with an original yule log shaped like six tiny cake stands.
As for flavors, Florence Lesage whets our appetites with a skilled mix or orange and Piedmont hazelnut, the whole enhanced by touches of almond, Tahitian vanilla and chocolate.
“Le Noël de Marie-Antoinette” yule log composition:
Almond cake served with orange and Tahitian vanilla-flavored cream for the stands base.
Piedmont hazelnut, Tahitian vanilla and sea salt crisp for the six cakes.
Valencia almond cakes flavored with orange and light Piedmont hazelnut mousse, topping the crispy hazelnut and some orange marmalade.
Each cake is put on a 46% Bahibé milk chocolate from the Dominican Republic stand.
To top it all, this dessert unveils gum paste flowers representing potato flowers, Marie-Antoinette’s favorites.
Discover this “Le Noël de Marie-Antoinette” yule log for 6 for €90, by order and reservation from December 1 to 22, 2019 to withdraw at hotel The Westin Paris-Vendôme from December 23 to 25, 2019. This yule log can also be enjoyed at the Bar Tuileries from December 10 to 31, 2019. Allow €15 per slice.
