Just like last year, Burgundy Paris chef went for an original recipe for Epiphany 2020. This time, Pascal Hainigue chose to pay tribute to the forest and nature with an Epiphany Cake 2020 both authentic and surprising.
It’s made of almond frangipane cream slightly scented with fir tree (the forest flavor!), almond praline and toasted buckwheat. As many woody flavors that make of this Epiphany Cake 2020 a bold dessert likely to please fine gourmets and curious gastronomes.
And to top it all, this Epiphany cake unveils an inverted puff pastry making it flakier and more regular, a pinch of fleur de sel and a nice layer of caramelized brown sugar hidden under the crust, that’s it.
Are you drooling already? Well, then, head to Burgundy Paris from January 3 to 11, 2020 to enjoy it. Note that this cake will be available by the slice at bar Le Charles and at restaurant Le Baudelaire for €10. Or, allow €48 for the cake serving 6 to 8.
