Set at Aux Deux Canelés, a little store inspired by Latin America on rue de la Verrerie, a stone’s throw from Paris city hall, two friends Aude and Aude offer – for three years now – very original sweet and savory canelés. In the basement, the laboratory where both Audes invent recipes depending on their moods and seasons; upstairs, a lovely window display to shop these delights.
As for recipes, the sweet canelé based is all about tradition with rum and vanilla, crunchy and caramelized crust on the outside and wonderfully smooth on the inside. But tradition goes further since at Aux Deux Canelés, you can taste fleshy and caramelized canelés original and spruced up based on fresh and quality ingredients. How great!

And if you think at Aux Deux Canelés both Audes are just “topping” canelés, you are wrong: they also twist the inside with stuffing! And it also applies to the 6 savory canelés currently available (and made without rum obviously):
And to try at Aux Deux Canelés at the moment, the Canancier with its financier inside and canelé outside, a wonderful mix sweetly smelling like almond; and of course, the classic version of canelé, generous in rum.
And if you want to go a step further, Aux Deux Canelés holds canelé workshops in the laboratory in small groups of 4 including a sweet and savory canelé tasting and a box of canelés to take home when living. Allow €70 the 90-minute workshop.
