The city of Saint-Ouen in Seine-Saint-Denis is soon to enjoy a new spot that sounds fabulous already. As a matter of fact, the opening of a huge hall devoted to food and party is planned for the spring of 2023. This will be the biggest food court in Île-de-France!
This upcoming hall will be inaugurated in the Docks area, a district close to the Seine and in full change. It is said this new festive venue is to open 7 days a week, from 8 in the morning to midnight, that is to say for breakfast, lunch, after-work parties, diner and even for a late-night snack. This gastronomy hall will be set in the former Alstom Hall.
The project was to initially see the light of the day in 2022, but got delayed. This new venue designed by Groupe Frey is to be inaugurated this next spring. Access to this new festive hall will be made easier via the metro line 14 that recently was inaugurated in Saint-Ouen. This magnificent hall will consist of a huge glass roof and a central patio featuring about thirty food stores and an organic food market, covering 13,000sqm of surface. As well as an incredible food court providing a dozen food booths, food trucks and 4 more traditional restaurants, and even an urban farm!
And that is not all! the place is to house an “iconic” bar, a 300-seat show venue and a conference center hosted by La Lune Rousse, the event company entrusted with the exploitation of Ground Control in the 12th arrondissement. A gourmet-related laboratory and a cooking school, a shared kitchen and an incubator, as well as 3,000sqm of co-working surface for the field professionals is to also be available.
