La Quequetterie launches its new savoury range - our photos

After a sweet offering that's as tasty as it is naughty, La Quequetterie, located in the heart of the Sentier district on rue d'Aboukir, has been offering a savory offering since August 30, 2021, for gourmets who love unusual cuisine.

Do you know Quequetterie? This gourmet corner, located in the heart of the Sentier district in Paris' 2nd arrondissement, has been offering a range of naughty sweet waffles in the shape of a penis or vulva for several months now. These waffles have been a resounding success, with long queues outside the restaurant for several weeks, so much so that the chain has decided to think bigger by proposing a savory offer since August 30, 2021, as well as an equally naughty and gourmet box.

What does this savory offer consist of? Again, sex-shaped waffles, this time with chicken, tomatoes and other cheeses. The Hot Dick is made with veggie or chicken sausage, melted cheddar, grilled onions, mayonnaise and ketchup, while the Dolce E-Vita is made with pesto rosso, mozzarella di Buffala, tomatoes, basil and olive oil. You can also opt for the Sexy Sunday, with veggie sausage or chicken, melted cheddar and maple syrup, or the Good Morning, with fried egg, bacon, avocado and maple syrup.

Four savoury waffles that the editors were able to try. As for the Hot Dick and Sexy Sunday, we appreciate the generosity of the filling, in particular the ultra-melting cheddar and maple syrup. Both waffles are equally seasoned, but we invite you to taste them before adjusting the seasoning, probably necessary for some. As for the Dolce E-Vita and the Good Morning, we appreciate their freshness and the complementary nature of their ingredients, ideal for those with a small appetite. We were also tempted by a very girly milk shake, the Lover, made with vanilla ice cream, doughnuts, whipped cream and cotton candy. Special mention must go to the finishing touch: a shot of glitter spray!

A brunch box called Sunday Morning is also available every morning. The box contains sweet quéquettes, as well as one of each of the new savory menu items. It's the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to an ultra-unusual lunch, and why not on a romantic date, for couples who want to go out to a restaurant off the beaten track.
