Feel like going with the flow of the Southwest? Well, from September 20 to 22, 2019, the Floating Markets of the Southwest (Les Marchés Flottants du Sud-Ouest) take over the Quai de Montebello and the Quai de la Tournelle facing Notre-Dame de Paris for a very friendly and festive weekend.
For three days, producers of foie gras, duck breasts, fruits, Chasselas, prunes, vegetables and wines await you on the Seine riverbanks to make you taste their local specialties. Over 40 producer stalls invite you to come and savor their tasty local products.
To extend the discovery, fruits will be distributed for free (over 6 tons) every day and the Taste area (Espace du Goût) and its Maison Micouleau restaurant located Quai de la Tournelle will cook you some typical Southwestern meals.
The "Filière du Pruneau d'Agen" is also in and offers you the chance to taste for free prunes as well as recipes and cocktails created by a regional chef.

This twenty editions is also paced by giant aperitif parties during which you can taste surprising cocktails based on armagnac and Flocs de Gasconne. This beverage is made with flambéed armagnac and traditionally made and enjoy at the end of the armagnac distillation process. All you need to know more about South Western France.
The Floating Markets of the Southwest are well known for their friendliness and their Southwestern festive spirit: dancing with the bandas and mini jazz concerts and Latin music, have a drink for free in the evening on Friday and Saturday night. This year, the Floating Markets celebrate their 20th edition!
