Looking for a beautiful galette des rois this Epiphanie 2020? Fauchon, and in particular chef François Daubinet, have come up with a version that's as pretty as it is atypical.
You won't find a galette des rois like this anywhere else. Indeed, for his signature galette, François Daubinet has imagined a marriage between cocoa and fleur de sel pain au lait, worked as a crisp puff pastry, cocoa fleur de sel pâte sablée and cocoa rum frangipane. Count 45€ for 6 good eaters.
On tasting, you'll discover an extremely light, low-sugar galette, with a lovely puff pastry and the subtle taste of cocoa. A wonderful discovery for those who want to break away from the traditional and indulge themselves.
For the festive season, there's also the famous Brioche des fêtes. An ultra-soft brioche with a creamy chocolate ganache with roasted hazelnut chips at its heart. The brioche is topped with a cocoa streusel for even greater indulgence. Count €28 for 6/8 people.
