Experience the magic and luxury of Versailles, just a stone's throw from Disneyland... That's the Disneyland Hotel, located at the entrance to the Paris theme park. The five-star hotel overlooks the entrance and ticket office of the theme park, with a breathtaking view of Main Street and Sleeping Beauty Castle. In all, the hotel comprises 428 rooms and 18 suites, as well as an exclusive floor, the Castle Club, with 41 Club Rooms. The hotel reopened its doors on January 25, 2024, inviting you to live like fairytale princes and princesses!
The hotel has undergone a major refurbishment, and a royal one at that... On April 28, 2021, Disneyland Paris announced the launch of an overhaul of its rooms and communal areas based on this theme, for a very elegant and modern tribute to Disney princesses and princes. Spaces will be redesigned to pay homage to the films of our childhood, such as Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Snow Queen and Rapunzel, while rooms and suites will be adorned with refined and creative decor, with baroque touches, to offer visitors a most immersive experience. The facades, however, will remain in Victorian style. The establishment is also child-friendly, with a special focus on children, with a dedicated children's desk, non-alcoholic cocktails at the bar, staged as for adults, and the Royal Kid's Club for fun and coloring.
As part of Destination D23, on September 9, 2023, Disneyland Paris showed a little more about the progress of the hotel's construction, through a video to be precise. In particular, the video offered us a first glimpse of the Royal Banquet, a restaurant that"will invite visitors to attend a royal feast amidst a gallery of portraits representing many of Disney's royal families, including their famous chefs such as Kronk (Kuzco, the Mega Emperor) and Chef Louis (The Little Mermaid)!", as explained in a press release.
"At Disneyland Paris, we create enchanting experiences for people of all ages," explained Sylvie Massara, Head of Design and Show Quality at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris. She continued:"The completely renovated Disneyland Hotel will do just that, immersing visitors in a timeless royal atmosphere. Guests will be greeted with refinement from the moment they enter the lobby, and stay in elegantly decorated rooms and suites celebrating the Disney Princesses and Princes."
Particular attention has been paid to room amenities and the layout of public areas, for an enhanced, personalized welcome. The pool area will be completely revamped, as will the spa, which is due to be extended, and the hotel's bar and restaurant, which will be completely redesigned. "When it reopens, the Disneyland Hotel will offer guests an enriched experience even more worthy of France's prestigious five-star hotels," explains Tomás Feier, former General Manager of the Disneyland Hotel.
He continued:"We're proud to welcome so many repeat visitors to our iconic hotel, and we want them to be immersed in a 360-degree experience using the strength of the Disney fairy tales they cherish so much, with an array of brave and benevolent heroines as the central theme". He concludes:"Our loyal visitors expect to be delighted and surprised by every moment of their stay, and we pride ourselves on providing impeccable service to create memorable moments for them. A complete experience at Disneyland Paris can only truly be achieved by staying at one of our themed hotels, and we look forward to welcoming visitors to the Disneyland Hotel after its transformation."
In addition to the new, completely redesigned décor, rooms feature a king-size or two double beds, minibar, bathroom with bathtub and TV with Disney and international channels. The hotel also boasts a number of superior rooms for up to four people, located in the hotel's wings, as well as superior family rooms (four adults and one child), rooms for people with reduced mobility, all fully equipped, and suites.
In all, eleven stories based on Disney princesses and princes are told in the rooms, from Cinderella to Rapunzel to the Snow Queen. Superior rooms are decorated in powder blue, with everything you need to make a cup of tea or coffee in a jewelry box, while deluxe rooms are decorated in gold and red, with a four-poster bed.
Visitors will also be treated to a show within the hotel's spaces, entitled La Royale Troupe, with wandering characters. Visitors will also be able to meet several princesses, by reservation, in the same way as theHotel New York - The Art of Marvel with Spider-Man. As for restaurants, gourmets are invited to royal encounters at La Table de Lumière and to cross paths with Mickey and Minnie at the Royal Banquet Hall, as well as to enjoy a drink at the Fleur de Lys lobby bar. At D23 2022, Josh D'Amaro, President of Parks, Experiences & Products, also unveiled concept art for a Snow Queen room or suite, announcing that the hotel will open in 2024. As Disneyland Paris explains in a press release, this opening will take place in the first quarter. Reservations opened on September 12, 2023!
The hotel's facilities include an indoor swimming pool, of course, but also a Jacuzzi and a fitness center with sauna and hammam, available to hotel guests. The Disneyland Hotel is also home to a top-of-the-range spa center where guests - parents and children alike from the age of 6 (yes, they have their own treatment...) - can enjoy a whole range of exclusive Clarins treatments for an unrivalled experience of well-being, relaxation and, above all, pleasure. There's also a hairdressing area and a manicure area.
As for services, they're pretty standard for this type of upscale establishment: concierge service from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., valet parking and luggage service, 24-hour room service, Disney Shopping Service and hotel delivery service.
