Set in the heart of Paris 6th arrondissement, Hotel and Spa La Belle Juliette pays tribute to French woman of letters and 19th century-social butterfly Juliette Récamier.
Garden side, the hotel enjoys contemporary and very charming bedrooms created when the hotel was extended a few years ago. These rooms – as a nod to the Abbaye aux Bois where Juliette stayed for over 10 years – highlight Juliette Récamier’s avant-garde aspect.
Designer Anne Gelbard created 4 themes around her universe. Sober materials, raw wood and bright colors are mixed with design furniture and vintage pieces bargain-hunted in the greatest cities in Europe to create the same atmosphere as in an artist’s studio.
On the first floor, Juliette’s rooms are very feminine in soft colors with a few dashes of mustard yellow. On the second floor, the designer makes a reference to the exile of the writer to Rome in 1813 with raw wood and “acid-washed” concrete panels reminding us of the Mount Vesuvius.
On the third floor, it’s Chateaubriand, Juliette Récamier’s big love, who’s given pride of place with a masculine style. Last but not least, on the fourth and fifth floors, we have the duplex rooms revolving around a cocooning vibe.
Overlooking the garden and the terrace, Hotel Belle Juliette bedrooms are an invitation to relax.
