Hotel restaurants - like restaurants, bars, and cafés - have been closed since October 2020. “Hotels that can keep working a bit for indispensable business travels can remain open” Jean Castex yet said. To eat, travelers will have to rely on room service since “only room services” in hotels were still allowed.
But things are eventually changing! As the government revealed their lockdown exit plan, and a clear and detailed schedule, the french now know they will be able to start a normal life again soon, as terraces and cultural places are expected to reopen from May 19th. So will hotel restaurants!
As a matter of fact, invited this April 30, 2021 on BFMTV, State Secretary for Tourism Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne said hotels will be able to reopen their restaurants from May 19 but careful: "only to their guests" at first.
Therefore, starting from this date, "breakfast, lunch, and dinner" will be once again served at the restaurant, where guests will eat "seated". Hotel managers and guests are delighted!
