Set at the same time in the heart of the city of Chantilly and in the middle of nature, the Auberge du Jeu de Paume is very charming! This 5-star hotel is ideally set in the Domaine de Chantilly, a few steps from the Château de Chantilly that used to be Prince de Condé’s home and very close to the racetrack and the stables housing the most prestigious horse families! In other words, the perfect location for a relaxing weekend discovering the French cultural heritage.
The hotel provides 92 rooms and suites on four floors, and two restaurants, namely the Jardin d’Hiver and the Table du Connétable, both managed by Michelin-starred chef Anthony Denon, as well as a spa and a fitness club to enjoy a wonderful and relaxing moment after a day filled with entertainments.
Barely checked in, you immediately feel at peace thanks to the soft light from the inner courtyard and the wooden horses decorating the lobby. The bright and comfortable bedrooms are genuine cocoons of wellness and lightness. The cozy and soft bed immediately calls you for a dive in the country of dreams.
If you feel like going for a nap as soon as you arrive, nobody will be mad at you, but note there are many things to enjoy around the inn. Do not hesitate to ask the hotel Clefs d’Or Concierge, he will help you out and take care of your bookings.
As for us, we decided to make the most of the wonderful day we had starting with a delicious picnic in the Chantilly estate. Grab your baskets filled with fresh jars thoroughly prepared by the place’s new chef Anthony Denon and head to the garden to enjoy it all on one of the picnic tables laid behind the hotel.
Then, you can take a walk in the estate, discover the castle and the exhibitions, practice paddle boat or enjoy an electric boat ride on the lake or even visit the famous Chantilly stables now housing the Horse Museum. As for golf fans, they can also practice their swings on the green.
Back to the hotel, discover the restaurants! The Jardin d’Hiver is a chic bistro serving laid-back food giving pride of place to seasonal produces. Open from breakfast to dinner, this authentic restaurant invites you on a gourmet break in a bucolic bistro vibe.
While the Table du Connétable enjoys a remarkable setting in the very heart of the Domaine de Chantilly with unobstructed views on the Chantilly gardens and flowerbeds. The Michelin-starred chef serves refreshing and innovative cuisine aiming at preserving the excellence of the place by bringing modern inspirations and his expertise.
