Shangri-La Hotel expects you on Friday February 16, 2018 to attend, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the traditional Lion dance, performed by the prestigious Kung Fu school “Pak Mei Lao Wei San”.
Lions parade at the beating of the drums, chasing away evil spirits. They’ll also have to catch salad and a red envelop holding some money. This loot is supposed to bring luck and prosperity for the new year.
On Thursday and Friday, head to Shang Palace, the only Chinese restaurant in France to be awardee a Michelin star and where Chinese chef Samuel Lee created exceptional dishes to celebrate the New Year as it should. A 6-course tasting menu expects you for a wonderful sensory journey in the Middle Kingdom.
