How about leaving Paris for a bit? Rush to Polpo, the super spot on the water that looks like a chic guinguette. Entirely decorated by Laura Gonzalez, this large barge takes you in a seaside atmosphere. Nature atmosphere with rattan, linen and straw ceiling lights.
We love the luxuriant and warm setting, the beach bar and of course the view on the water. All along the meal, you can get up and relax on the terrace, move freely as if you were at home.
As it name suggests it, the place gives pride of place to seafood, but not only. Salmon tartare, whelks, sea bream ceviche, squid salad, razor clam a la plancha as well as a plate of oyster await you. Let yourself be tempted by the Polpo board to share which has everything: calamari fritter, frish croquettes, whelks, taramasalata and homemade blinis.
You’re not really into seafood? The place offers excellent Penne with truffle cream, but you can choose between the veal escalope or the prime rib of beef with Béarnaise sauce.
But, we also go there for the butter-roasted lobster served with homemade French fries or to satisfy a fish & chips craving, of course!
Sweet-toothed eaters will go for the homemade crepes, the lemon tart, the gourmet Baba Polpo or the Floating Island to die for.
The impressive bar of the place offers a signature cocktails list available from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. every day. You can go for a Gin Tonic, a sangria, a lemonade or a homemade detox juice. Perfect for an after-work party with colleagues or friends.
On Sunday, the barge offers a hearty brunch, perfect for a family time with kids’ activities.
In short, how about relaxing for a bit?
